Mining firm Philex Mining Corp. targets to expand its power-related investments, starting with coal exploration in Zamboanga this year.

In line with this, Philex incorporated a new company, Brixton Coal Mining, Inc., late last year to handle its coal-mining business and to concentrate on its power-related assets. "We plan to eventually transfer all our other power-related assets to Brixton Coal Mining, Inc.," Philex Vice-President for finance Renato N. Migrino said.
