Mar. 10--Kasikorn Asset Management expects its assets under management to rise 10 percent this year, enabling it to maintain its number one spot in the industry.

Wiwan Tharahirunchote, the president of Kasikorn Asset Management, said the company had 219 billion baht under management at the end of 2005.

She said that the company, a unit of Kasikornbank, expects its mutual fund operations to grow by 15 percent from 143 billion baht under management.

Private funds, which amounted to 41.6 billion baht at the end of the 2005, are projected to grow by 6 percent this year, with provident funds rising by another 7 ...
