Mar. 4--KGI Securities (Thailand) Plc projects to gain an 8 percent share of trade in the new futures market in its first year once the new Thailand Futures Exchange (TFEX) is launched in late April.
The broker aims to generate futures brokerage fees of around 20 million baht from 15,000 contracts expected to be opened by investors over the next 12 months, said Tanavatt Bhanijkasem, executive vice-president for the futures department. KGI has already obtained a licence from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to be a dealer in futures trading as well as a brokerage seat from the Thailand Clearing House (TCH).
