Mar. 4--The Japanese credit card brand JCB International aims to attract one million cardholders in the Thai market by 2007.

JCB yesterday signed a partnership with Krungthai Card, Thailand's largest credit card issuer, to issue JCB cards and manage merchant acquisitions.

Hiroya Nobuhara, the chairman and chief executive of JCB International, said the partnership would solidify JCB's brand in Southeast Asia.

"We are sure that we can create greater convenience and greater value for new and existing JCB cardmembers in the country," he said.
