A lot will be different in Formula One this year. By and large the significant drivers remain with the same teams, but there are rule changes, both technological and sporting, and folks are holding their breath-not least of all the engine builders.
Gone (except for at least one case) are the 3.0-liter V10s, which were standard for the previous 10 years. The FIA, in its constant quest to reduce speeds, decided a power cut was necessary. As Patrick Head of Williams says, probably no one hit the 1000-hp mark, but some-notably Honda-came close.
