Medco Health rallies on Q4 profit
The large pharmacy benefits management firm said its Q4 EPS rose 14% to 66 cents ex items, 5 cents above views. Revenue grew 21% to $10.8 bil on volume from new clients and higher prices of brand-name drugs. Medco forecast '06 profit of $2.57-$2.64, excluding 13-16 cents in options expenses. Analysts expect $2.60. Shares jumped 6.4% to $59.28.
Pfizer's Celebrex increases risks
Users of Celebrex, a common painkiller and treatment for arthritis, have doubled the risk of a heart attack, said researchers at New Zealand's Medical Research Institute.
