LOOKING back 20 years down the road of Malaysian telecommunications industry, the changes have been unbelievable. Mobile service providers come and go, and the handset wars have intensified as the years go by.
The bag, the brick, the candy bar, the shell and now the credit card - these are the design milestones that reflect the eras of mobile telecommunication in the country.
There were more design innovations in between such as the slider, the taco (aka karipap) and the lipstick - adding spice to the competitive local market where the penetration rate for cellular phones has reached 74.1 per cent.
