PTT reports 44% rise in revenue: Rayong restructuring fuels profits.

Mar. 2--PTT Plc plans to spend 80 billion baht this year on the expansion of its gas and petrochemical businesses, according to PTT president Prasert Bunsumpun.

For 2005, PTT reported consolidated sales revenue of 929.72 billion baht, an increase of 44 percent.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) grew by 44 percent to 114.05 billion baht.

Net profit stood at 85.52 billion baht, or 30.57 baht per share, compared with a 2004 net profit of 62.66 billion baht, or 22.40 baht per share. Of the total, 5.42 billion in profits came from the debt restructuring of Rayong Refinery Plc.
