Mar. 2--Two set-listed entertainment firms, GMM Grammy Plc and GMM Media Plc, have cited higher operational costs and declining sales as the reasons for disappointing net profit performances.

GMM Grammy, the country's biggest record firm, posted a 71 percent decline in net profit to 203.51 million baht year-on-year, down from 700.2 million baht.

Its total sales also dropped 6 percent to 6.31 billion baht, down from 6.67 billion baht. Sales of music, television and radio businesses were blamed for the fall.
