Mar. 2--Indorama Polymers Plc (IRP), the country's largest PET polymer producer, plans to increase its revenue by 50 percent this year and expand its Thai facilities' capacity by 39 percent next year.
IRP group chief executive Aloke Lohia said it would invest up to three billion baht around the globe this year, of which 400 million baht would go to Thailand.
"We should see a 50 percent growth in revenue this year since plastic will continue to increase its share in the global packaging-materials market against glass, aluminum and paper. Plastic gains 40 percent of the total market value of $370 billion," he said.
