Mar. 1--A new Chiang Khong logistics centre, one of four developments planned at the Sino-Thai summit last September, is likely to encounter problems due to unclear state policy.
Trans Asia Logistic Co and Yunnan's Kunming Daqian Conveyance Co planned to launch a 1.25-billion-baht project to develop transport facilities between Thailand and China to support growing trade after a bridge linking Chiang Khong and Bo Han, Laos is built.
Chiang Khong is located on the Mekong River in Chiang Rai and as such, is a major port for ferrying goods to and from China.
