SENATE MINORITY LEADER HOLDS MEDIA AVAILABILITY FOLLOWING CLOSED POLICY LUNCHEON
FEBRUARY 28, 2006
SPEAKER: U.S. SENATOR HARRY REID (D-NV), SENATE MINORITY LEADER
[*] REID: The poll numbers we've seen with the president, where he has a 34 percent approval rating, mask the approval of the vice president, which is down to about 18 percent. But these poll numbers are indicative of the failures of this presidency, the failures of Social Security, the failure of national security, the failure of homeland security, the failure at six months and Katrina is still Katrina, and that's not a positive thing.
We believe that this administration has failed the American people in so many different ways, not the least of which is the war in Iraq.
