IT'S ANYBODY'S GUESS--INFORMED or otherwise--about which of several score promising prospects will emerge as the top big league rookies of 2006, but there's little doubt as to who among the horde is the most impatient--perhaps even impertinent as well as talented.

That's surely outfielder Delmon Young, 20-year-old brother of Detroit Tigers slugger Dmitri Young, to judge by his outburst against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, the team that's developing his potential.

When the Devil Rays failed to call him up last September after an exceptional 2005 performance at two minor league stops, Young didn't curb his frustration.
