LITHUANIAN building firm Litana ir Ko has bought a shiprepair yard in Kaliningrad, Russia, and intends to invest about €3.2m ($3.7m) in reconstructing the facility, according to a local report.

The Baltic News Service reported Litana as saying that it would focus on shiprepair operations but would also build ships in Kaliningrad. Litana, which is based in the town of Gargzdai in western Lithuania, employs 250 people.

It has joint ventures in Russia and Latvia.
