SENIOR Government officials will today prepare a set of compromise proposals to salvage the 'social partnership' talks, which have reached the half-way stage with no agreement on employment standards.

The ICTU negotiating team and the IBEC and Construction Industry Federation employers may receive these proposals tomorrow.

The discussions led to an impasse on Friday after the union side submitted a detailed proposal to address the impact of large-scale immigration in wage rates.
