Feb. 25--PLAINS TWP. -- Expect state Route 315 to be crowded when a slot machine casino proposed for the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs opens next year, according to a traffic impact study. Friday and Saturday are identified as the peak days for the horse racing and slots casino complex in the study done by Clough Harbour & Associates LLP in Scranton.

The stretch of highway bookended by the intersections with state Route 309 to the south and Interstate 81 Exit 175 to the north will be able to handle the traffic by modifying the existing traffic signals and making a few roadway improvements. The additional traffic should not be a …
