SHENZHEN, February 23, SinoCast -- ASUS, a Taiwan-based PC and main board maker, now is speeding up its expanding paces to the mobile phone market for China's mainland.

On February 19, ASUS decided to set up Shanghai Gong Shuo Technology Co., Ltd with as much as USD 50 million in Shanghai, in a bid to enlarging its mobile phone production capacity.

Thus far, ASUS has moved its notebook computer and main board plants to the mainland root and branch.

Gong Shuo will mainly produce ASUS-branded mobile phones in the beginning, and it will also be an original equipment maker to manufacture handsets for foreign …
