These are stirring times for this major brand in the Reed Exhibitions portfolio, as it finally makes the move across London from Olympia to Docklands. The new venue is a good one, although some may miss the allure of Kensington's shops and eateries when the show floor proves too overwhelming. For many UK corporate and academic librarians, though, this is a must-attend event, particularly as an e-content pavilion will specialise in online STM/journal providers.

Computers in Libraries 2006
22-24 March, Washington DC
The Hilton Hotel in the US capital will host the annual Computers in Libraries event, which will focus on the theme of innovations. A series of workshops will run alongside the main conference. Topics this year include technology planning, blogs, building a taxonomy, creating online tutorials, using federated search, understanding web user behaviour and project management for digitisation.
