Brunei's Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.1% in December over the previous month with an index of 103.1, the Statistics Department of the Department of Economic Planning and Development said.
The CPI in December 2005 was 0.7% higher than that of the same month in 2004.
The CPI is solely a measure of price changes and not a measure of changes in general cost of living since it does not take into account of the factors, such as changes in life style, increase of household incomes and the availability of new consumption goods and services.
