Feb. 17--Doll collectors won't be slowed by the $1.3-million renovation under way at the Royal Oak Farmers Market if they stop by Saturday for the market's first big doll show. Inside the 80-year-old market building on 11 Mile, just east of Main Street in downtown Royal Oak, will be thousands of dolls. And collectors also will find Ferndale doll-shop owner, appraiser and author Barbara Lewis Coker. Besides displaying about 100 of her own dolls -- priced from $3 to $500 -- Coker will give free appraisals of up to two dolls per owner. Coker, 71, of Royal Oak operates a shop called the Doll Lady on Hilton just south of I-696 in Ferndale.
