To Dr. Gary Annunziata, I would like to say "mega dittos" ("AMA Isn't Helping Physicians," Letters, Sept. 1, 2005, p. 6).

Now that I am finished with my training and am in private practice, I have discontinued my memberships in the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, and the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. The dues were so expensive, and I got nothing in return. They advocate more for the patients than the doctors ...
