With six out of every 10 midsize sport/utility vehicles (like Jeep Liberty, Toyota RAV4 and Ford Escape) selling to women, Dodge recognized an opportunity to widen the Liberty's appeal by creating a more macho machine that appeals to men. Enter the 2007 Dodge Nitro, a non-Trail Rated version of the Liberty riding on a four-inch-longer wheelbase. Nitro sports the distinctive Dodge crosshair grille and offers an optional 4.0-liter, 255-hp V6, performance suspension, 20- inch wheels and a Load 'N Go rear cargo tray.
