Taipei, Feb. 15, 2006 (CENS)--Lee Chang Yung Chemical Corp., one of Taiwan's listed chemical concerns, is gearing up the second-phase construction of a plant of MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether) and methanol in Qatar of the Middle East

The plant is jointly invested in by Lee Chang Yung, the state-run Chinese Petroleum Corp., Canadian Octane Corp. and Qatar government. After completion, the proposed plant will be the largest of its kind the world over
