Feb. 15--Parents of Centennial High School students are beginning to get a look at what the school's new principal envisions for their youngsters.

On Monday night, Principal Miguel Elias held the first in series of parent meetings to talk about ways he hopes to improve high school education, help students achieve higher test scores and get them ready for college and careers. While elementary grades are showing substantial improvement in state test scores, high schools continue to exhibit problems in reading, writing and math scores. And it's not just in Pueblo.
