GOVERNMENT's controversial proposal to give away Shimoni Demonstration Primary School property to a private investor was not a mistake, Uganda Investment Authority has said.

"It was a challenge for us because all the land in the Central business district had been take. We looked for something to be removed that is when the proposal to relocate Shimoni schools came on table. This was not a foul play," Dr Maggie Kigozi, the Executive Director UIA, said on February 10.
