Feb. 13--East Valley school districts have offered to educate more than 500 students from a Pinal County district that faces obstacles in educating its own high school students.

The J.O. Combs Elementary School District, which has no high school, alerted parents last week that nearby Queen Creek High School could no longer accept all of its students -- as has been the case for the past 50 years.

Queen Creek Unified School District Superintendent Jim Murlless said a plan should be finished next week detailing how many Combs students his district could accommodate and how Queen Creek High School will choose which students to…
