Feb. 10--With growth and time come the need for new and renovated schools, and Catawba County's three school districts are planning for the future.
Every five years, N.C. districts submit long-range building plans to help the state determine construction needs. The plans also give county governments an idea of what's ahead. Local governments pay for school construction, but state bonds, though rare, can supplement that money.
