Brazilian state run oil company Petroleo Brasileiro (Petrobras) is still negotiating a share of over 50% in the Astra oil refinery in Texas, for which it signed a memorandum of intent in 2005. The unit has the capacity to refine 100,000 bbls/day and Petrobras wants 66% of production to be taken up by Brazilian oil.
