The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, last week executed a court order freezing the bank accounts of Plateau State Government because government officials had resorted to huge cash transactions to the tune of N500m within three months - a move that was against the norm, against anti-money laundering law, a move that was suspicious and opaque. Unfortunately, the EFCC action targeted at Governor Joshua Dariye might hurt the people who are also victims of Dariye's leadership.
