Feb. 7--The Treasury Department says new feasibility studies show that the long-delayed Mor Chit development project remains viable, even though authorities have decided on a new site for a transport hub for northern and northeastern Bangkok.

The 63-rai development on Phahon Yothin Road was first initiated in the mid-1990s with a project value of 19 billion baht. Plans called for the site, currently used as a depot for the Bangkok skytrain, to be expanded into a new commercial and transport centre serving bus and rail routes for the northern and northeastern parts of the city.
