Feb. 6--STOCKTON - Lodi Unified School District administrators are pondering a plea by parents of Christa McAuliffe Middle School children who want to prove the school's elective classes will result in higher standardized test scores.
The plea comes after parents were told by McAuliffe administrators in January that the district will strip the middle school of the majority of its elective course options next year and add a second period of language arts to each student's schedule in an attempt to raise student proficiency on state tests.
