Feb. 6--The Finance Ministry is reviewing a plan to have eight specialised state-owned financial institutions write-off their bad loans to clear up their accounts, according to Pongpanu Svetarundra, an adviser to the Fiscal Policy Office.
The banks are the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Co-operatives, the Government Savings Bank, the Government Housing Bank, the Export-Import Bank, the SME Bank, the Islamic Bank, the Small Industry Credit Guarantee Corporation and the Secondary Mortgage Corp.
