Feb. 3--South Korea has become one of the world's tourism "superpowers" with the number of South Koreans travelling abroad passing the 10-million mark for the first time last year.
South Korea joined China and Japan as countries with the largest number of outbound travellers in Asia. The outbound figure from China were estimated at 31 million last year and 17 million from Japan.
The number of outbound South Korean tourists last year rose 14.2 percent from the previous year, according to statistics released by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (Pata) and the Korea Tourism Organisation.
