Feb. 3--Tourism operators had mixed views yesterday about the possible impact of warnings by foreign embassies deterring citizens from travelling to the Royal Plaza on Saturday.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to turn out at a rally to demonstrate growing public resentment against the government and Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
Yesterday, a number of foreign embassies, including the United States Embassy in Bangkok, sent letters to their registered citizens in Thailand warning that violence could break out at the rally, so they should avoid the neighbourhood.
