Bond market to grow by 50%: 'Market will become more international'.

Feb. 3--The bond market is expected to explode this year, with the growth of new issues projected at 50 percent according to the Thai Bond Market Association.
Association president Nattapol Chavalitcheevin said last year saw the bond market grow by 43 percent to 1.95 trillion baht in new issues, including seven billion baht worth of baht-denominated debt by foreign issuers.
Total debt outstanding in the bond market now is around 3.3 trillion baht.
Mr Nattapol said given current trends, the size of the market was likely to double within five years.
