RACKABLE SYSTEMS soared 19% after it reported Q4 profit of 33 cents ex items, beating views of 9 cents and reversing a year-ago 9-cent loss. Revenue at the server and data storage firm more than tripled to $83.1 mil.

INTUITIVE SURGICAL earned $1.31 a share in Q4, including a $24.1 mil tax benefit. Views were for 49 cents, but analysts don't include one-time items. Revenue rose 60% to $72 mil. Shares of the robotic medical devices maker dropped 9%.
