Feb. 2--Narongchai Akrasanee, an adviser to the Fiscal Policy Research Institute Foundation, has denied being asked to take up the lead negotiator's job in the Thai-US free-trade talks.
He hinted that Uttama Savanayana, an adviser to Commerce Minister Somkid Jatusripitak, was likely to take up the post.
"I have never been contacted by the government (to head the team)," he said, "Mr Uttama is currently taking care of all issues."
