SEOUL, Feb 1 Asia Pulse - South Korean visitors to China jumped nearly 25 per cent from a year earlier in 2005, overtaking the number of Japanese travelers to the world's most populous country, a trade body said Wednesday.

According to the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), South Korean visitors to China totaled 3.54 million last year, up 24.6 per cent from the previous year.

The figure exceeded the 3.39 million Japanese who went to China last year, making South Korea the leading country in terms of its China-bound travelers.
