SEOUL, Feb 1 Asia Pulse - South Korean stocks opened lower Wednesday as an overnight drop on Wall Street set a negative tone for the local market.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price (KOSPI) lost 5.51 points, or 0.39 per cent, to 1,394.32 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
The 100-share, blue-chip KRX 100 fell 13.05 points, or 0.45 per cent, to 2,828.97, and the tech-rich KOSDAQ index was down 5.93 points, or 0.85 per cent, to 684.31.
