SYDNEY, Feb 1 Asia Pulse - Milton Corporation Ltd (ASX:MLT) says its investments are likely to generate increasing investment revenue over the next six months.

The listed investment company today posted a 20.8 per cent increase in first half net profit to $A33.06 million ($US25.03 million).

Milton chairman Robert Millner said the continued strong performance of corporate Australia had helped Milton to post double digit profit growth and increase its interim dividend.

"The increased underlying profit was largely attributable to strong growth in investment revenue with 80 per cent of the companies in the portfolio increasing their ordinary dividends compared with the previous corresponding half year," Mr Millner said.

Mr Millner said Milton's sound portfolio of investments in companies and trusts is likely to generate increasing investment revenue over the next six months.
