Will the good times keep rolling overseas in 2006?
In January, the FTSE gained 6.4% in dollar terms. The Dax rose 7.9%. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 improved 2.5%.
"Europe certainly faces more headwinds in 2006," said Martin Schulz, head of international equities at Allegiant Asset Management. "But there are several pockets throughout the continent poised to outperform."
If you're not familiar with stocks in different regions and European markets, exchange traded funds might be a viable option.
ETFs let you move in when the time seems ripe. And they won't tack on redemption fees or other restrictions like mutual funds if you want to bail out.
