Construction firm debuts strongly
H&E Equipment Services, which rents and sells construction and industrial equipment, rose 28.5% to 23.10 in its first day of trading. The La.-based company, which has 41 service locations stretching from Mont. to Fla., sold 10.9 mil shares after pricing above its expected $15-to-$17 range. The company had net losses for 4 out of the last 6 years, but earned $13.5 mil for the first 9 months of '05.
** Software maker IncrediMail rose 13.5% to 8.51 in its debut. The Israeli company, which makes e-mail software, has been profitable since '02.
** Regency Energy Partners, which processes and transports natural gas, fell 1% to 19.81 on its first day of trading.
