Byline: Maritime and commercial team to go it alone as Van Steenderen Mainport Lawyers, writes Helen Hill

A new law firm has launched into the Dutch market, created by three former NautaDutilh lawyers.

Located at Westerkade in Rotterdam, Van Steenderen Mainport Lawyers was founded by Arnold van Steenderen, together with Marieke van den Dool and Jasper Groen, who are all specialists in shipping, transport and maritime insurance law, including both wet and dry shipping work.

Mr van Steenderen was a partner at NautaDutilh for 23 years, while Ms van den Dool and Mr Groen worked in the maritime department.

An agreement with NautaDutilh meant that Mr van Steenderen could take the practice for which he had been responsible for to the new firm.

The three have worked together for the past few years as a team specialising in maritime and commercial law.
