Andrew to awaken the giant.

THE first managing partner at north west law firm DWF today vowed to awaken the "sleeping giant".

Andrew Leaitherland, 36, is thought to be one of the youngest solicitors to hold such a position at a big practice.

DWF, with offices in Manchester and Liverpool, has 608 staff and expects annual revenues to grow from GBP31.6m to GBP33m in the year to the end of April. It is currently the 52nd largest firm in the country.

Andrew, of Appleton, Warrington, is targeting double-digit organic growth to take fee income over the GBP40m mark within three years - not ruling out acquisitions.
