Bratislava, Jan 31 (CTK) - The Slovak military intends to buy new transport aircraft by 2010, army spokesman Milan Vanga said today.

Although after the recent crash of an An-24 plane there are still three An-24 planes in the air force, only two of them are functional, Vanga said. [Passage omitted]

"We have so far only modernised transport aircraft, but we are planning to purchase new ones in the future since the lifespan of the planes we use will expired in 2010," Vanga said after a meeting …
