Russia to build more radars on southern borders - defence minister.

[Presenter] Russia's air defence was today strengthened by another radar. It was built in the village of Lekhtusi in Leningrad Region. After the breakdown of the USSR seven out of ten radars monitoring missile launches turned out to be in other countries. Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Sergey Ivanov, who arrived there to inspect the radar, promised that similar radars will be built on Russia's southern borders.
