Harvey T. Brown

Harvey T. Brown, 83, Basking Ridge, N.J., and formerly of Sarasota, died Jan. 25, 2006, in Holly Manor Nursing Home, Mendham, N.J., after a long illness.

He was born in New York City and lived 16 years in Sarasota, where he was a former board treasurer of the Blackburn Point Woods Homeowners Association. He retired in 1980 as an accountant with Colgate Palmolive and was an Army veteran of World War II. He received a bachelor's degree in 1943 from Fordham University and an MBA in 1948 from New York University.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mary; a son, Michael G. of Basking Ridge; a daughter, Christine A. of Jersey City, N.J.; and three grandchildren.

Services and burial were in Basking Ridge, where Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home was in charge.

Anita Yager Brumback

Anita Yager Brumback, 102, Venice, died Jan. 25, 2006.

She was born Dec. 5, 1903, in La Grange, Ky., and came to Venice 40 years ago from Louisville, Ky.

Survivors include a cousin, Howard Batts of Kentucky.

Burial will be in Louisville. National Cremation Society, Sarasota, is in charge.

Heinz W. Daschke

Heinz W. Daschke, 86, Venice, died Jan. 30, 2006.

He was born Sept. 17, 1919, in Germany and came to the United States from there in 1952. He retired as a carpenter and cabinet maker and was a member of the Senior Friendship Center in Venice and the Elks in Englewood.

Survivors include daughters Rosita and Brigitte; a son, Heinz of Cincinnati; a sister, Johanna; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Venice United Church of Christ. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is in charge.
