William G. Appleton
William G. Appleton, 74, Palmetto, died Jan. 28, 2006.
He was born Sept. 13, 1931, in Durand, Mich., and came to Palmetto in 1996 from Tawas, Mich. He retired as a lineworker with General Motors Buick Manufacturing. He was a member of the Jet Park Shuffleboard Club and the Southwest Coast Shuffleboard District. He was a Methodist and a Christian.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; daughters Denise Hamilton and Renee, both of Flint, Mich., and Beverly Solomon of Perrysburg, Ohio; sons Bill and Ken, both of Flint, and Larry of Burton, Mich.; sisters Norma Crittenden of Tawas, Shirley Leix of Orlando and Gerrie Wright of Estero; a brother, Chuck of Bradenton; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at Jet Mobile Home Park Hall in Palmetto. Kicliter Funeral Home in Palmetto is in charge.
