BRADENTON -- Two brothers who were stopped at gunpoint and detained as suspects in connection with a drive-by shooting in May are suing the Manatee County Sheriff's Office for negligence.

The vehicle in which the brothers -- Jeremy S. Hart, 20, and Aramis S. Mapps, 16 -- were riding did not match the description that witnesses gave of the shooter's car, according to the lawsuit filed Friday in Bradenton Circuit Court.

Sheriff's deputies said they would shoot Mapps and Hart in the head if they moved their hands or even looked at the deputies during the stop, attorney Mark A. Gruwell …
