Moscow, 30 January: The Ilyushin aviation complex will modernize three Il-38SD (Sea Dragon) antiship aircraft of the Indian navy in 2006, the company's director-general Viktor Livanov told Interfax-Military News Agency today. "Three Il-38SDs will be modernized and delivered to India this year and another in 2007," he said.
He added that in late 2005 India received its first modernized Il-38SD. "The second aircraft will be returned to service in March and one more in summer," he said.
